Prepare the artichokes: trim the stems and dispose the bottoms. Remove any brown outer leaves. Chop off the artichoke tops. Snip off the thorny tips of the remaining leaves. Rinse the artichokes under running water and shake off excess water. Rub the cut edges of the artichokes with lemon half to help slow their browning.
Pour the water into the Instant Pot. Place the Silikong Steamer Basket inside the pot and set the artichokes upright. Stack them on top of each other if necessary. Secure the lid and turn the steam release valve to Sealing mode. Press the Pressure Cook or Manual button and set the cooking time to 10 minutes.
When the Instant Pot beeps, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, then carefully switch the steam release valve to Venting.
When pressure is fully released, open the lid and carefully remove the artichokes on to serving plates. Enjoy :-)
